Amazon Purchases for Classroom Setup

Kore Wobble Chair

My students LOVE these seats and use them at their desks and around the classroom when they are working independently, with partners, and even in small groups!
I own them in black, grey, and purple!

Wobble Cushion

Another favorite item in my classroom! The students use these on traditional chairs and they like being able to choose the side of the cushion that feels the most comfortable! I have them in black, but they have a lot of color choice to suit your needs.

Plastic Stacking Stools

These stools are another favorite in my classroom. The students use them when working at my small group table, they fit perfectly under my horseshoe table! They are durable and have held up well for two years. I make sure to tell the students they need to keep all 4 feet on the floor for these stools!

Convert A Bench

This is a new addition to my classroom this school year!! I am so glad I have this in my classroom and cannot wait for the students to use it as an alternative seating place.

Yoga Mats

I also have these yoga mats (in black, of course) and just tossed the carrying strap, since they don't need that part. The students love to use those for lying on the floor and getting comfortable during independent reading time.

Area Rug

I love the color black and this rug was a perfect addition to add some pattern to my classroom! I purchase two rugs and placed them side by side. I receive a lot of compliments on this area rug!

Welcome Back, Welcome Back, Welcome Back

It has been over a year since my last post and I have not been consistent with my content, but I am determined to fix that now that I am in a stable position and finished with grad classes!  WOO HOO!

Two years ago I was offered and accepted a 4th grade teaching position at a nearby school. These past two years I have learned more than I ever dreamed imaginable. I work for a school corporation that values its teachers and makes sure that we stay up-to-date on best practices. I feel very lucky to be a part of this group of educators!

I recently finished my last grad class and passed my state exam to be a licensed High Ability teacher. I have been working with HA students the past two years (and will be doing so again next year) and I am glad I went through all of the classes to gain more insight into working with these incredible students.

I feel that social media has become very heavy in branding and selling, which I realize is how people make money and that I want to also make some money, but I want my accounts to reflect on myself as an educator and also share my passion and enthusiasm for teaching! With that being said, here are my goals for my social media teacher life...

My Social Media Goals:

  • Blog Posts: 1-2x/month
  • Instagram/Twitter/Facebook: 1x/week
  • Pinterest: 1x/week
  • YouTube: begin a channel to create a video blog
Stay tuned for more updates and to see what I have been working on already this summer!

Until then...take care of yourself!
